Phil M0NDY joined us at RADARC (24th Sept.26) to give a talk about amateur radio and particularly ATV on the ISS. In fact he had come directly from Goonhilly after refitting the HamTV system there!
Phil is a leading light in amateur TV and in particular integrating it with amateur radio/TV applications on the ISS. His talk was full of fascinating information about how the system worked, the challenges and the solutions.
Phil brought along an ATV antenna which he built and used succesfully for the ISS project. There are many diverse subjects covered by the broad term “amateur radio” and even if space communications are not your thing, Phil’s talk was still engaging.
The meeting was recored and will soon be available to watch.
