Welcome to RADARC

Thames Valley’s leading Amateur Radio Club since 1934.

RADARC is a very active amateur radio club.

In addition to on-air nets, face to face meetings haveĀ  resumed with appropriate precautions. Given the popularity of online meetings, we are keeping these going. So (as a rule) it’s your choice whether to attend meetings in person or virtually: so-calledĀ  “hybrid” meetings. We’re still learning how to do these effectively, pushing the boundaries and learning what works and what doesn’t in true amateur spirit. Activities usually take place on Thursdays starting shortly after 8pm.

Further online interaction happens via the ‘discord’ messaging application, introduced as an experiment in response to the pandemic. It is now a thriving internal discussion and collaboration forum.

In the summer we will be running social and practical events/sessions (“antenna evenings”).

Our members and their activities have enabled RADARC to receive the RSGB club of the year in 2010 and 2013 and in 2016 we received the Regional award from the RSGB.

We welcome all who wish to learn about radio, electronics and indeed all aspects of amateur radio. Dates of meetings can be found on our events page.
